We are a collective group of Iranian scholars (faculty, students, staff, and alumni) from universities across the globe.
The vision of 'Iranian Scholars for Liberty' is the transition from the current regime to a secular democratic system in Iran, with a focus on empowering and raising awareness among Iranian citizens, and achieving absolute freedom of expression for the purpose of civic and political participation.
OUR MISSION
Amplifying the voice of Iranian citizens worldwide towards achieving the revolution of 'Woman, Life, Freedom'.
Defending the human rights of Iranian citizens, regardless of their gender, religion, ethnicity, or race.
Supporting the establishment of a secular democratic government in Iran.
Reinforcing the global network of Iranians for the implementation of strategic projects towards sustainable growth in line with the national interests of Iran.
Implementing research projects to address the challenges facing the movement during and after the transition period.
Facilitating critical discourse, advocacy, and collaboration with civil institutions, political organizations, and human rights defenders to advance the revolutionary movement of 'Woman, Life, Freedom'.
Raising awareness among Iranian citizens towards achieving absolute freedom of expression and empowering them for political and social participation.

Here are a few of the many reasons why we should be concerned about Iran and Iranian protests:
ًWomen in Iran are denied fundamental rights as second-class citizens, such as the right to choose their clothing, the right to leave the country without the permission of a male guardian, custody of their children, singing in public, riding bikes on streets, getting divorced, not being able to take top priority roles in the government, and entering stadiums to watch male sports events. This list may go on forever.
People are under constant strain from social, economic, and environmental challenges, as well as government administrative corruption.
People are being killed or arrested in Iran's streets while protesting for their rights; their internet has been shut down, and people have lost contact with the rest of the world.
