On November 16th of 2022, Jaber was arrested along with nine other people during a protest in Isfahan following the death of Mahsa (Jina) Amini, who was killed by the morality police of Islamic Republic. There isn't enough information about Jaber or his case because of the Islamic Republic's news blackout, which allows them to simply fabricate cases based on false accusations. We are lucky we even know his name, for most of the detainees remain unidentified. During his court procedure, which clearly lacks rule of law, he has been accused of “waging war against God” and “spreading corruption on earth”. Charges that, under Islamic Republic legislation, could result in Jaber's execution.
